Who’s in Office?
By: Bronwyn Miller (7-2)
Bronwyn Miller, grade 7 was able to sit down and have a chat with the leaders of DWCA, Douglaston Campus.
Mrs. Miriam Bonici was appointed to the position of principal in September, 2017. Here’s what Bronwyn discovered:
BM: How does it feel being the new principal?
MB: “It’s very busy. It’s nice to get to know and all children and I’m always thinking of ways to make the school better.”
BM: Is it a big change from being a third grade teacher?
MB: “Absolutely! It’s a lot of responsibility.”
BM: Is it a lot of work?
MB: “Yes…I’m ALWAYS thinking.”
BM: Do you miss your old job?
MB: “No, it’s a shift…but, a good shift.”
BM: What advice do you have for kids that want to have a job in education?
MB: “It’s a 24/7 job. It takes a lot of time and work. You want to make sure that you are working to grow the whole child/student and you become a positive influence on that child’s life.”
BM: Is there anything you would like to add?
MB: “I am very proud of all my students.”
